Glutathione is a tripeptide involved in the body's redox system. Reduced glutathione is known as GSH; its oxidised form is known as GSSG.
MediBalans uses 600 mg reduced glutathione (GSH). The choice between IV and IM follows a medical assessment. The two routes describe different methods of administration, not a general guarantee of clinical effect.
Glutathione treatment should not be presented as treatment for a disease in itself. The physician considers the individual clinical question, alternatives, risks and what can reasonably be followed up.

Short answer: MediBalans uses 600 mg reduced glutathione (GSH) in a two-component preparation that is dissolved at the clinic in connection with administration.
GSH and GSSG are different redox forms. A dose in milligrams therefore does not describe a preparation on its own; product, form and handling also matter.
Our preparation consists of lyophilised powder and solvent combined at the clinic in connection with treatment. This is a documentable process fact. It is not evidence of greater clinical effect and does not mean treatment is risk-free.

MediBalans offers both defined formulations and individually selected IV or IM options. The fact that a treatment is available does not mean it is appropriate for everyone.
Why is there a safety check on arrival? Route of administration is only one part of a medical decision. Treatment needs a clear clinical question, known composition and a plan for follow-up.
Iron infusion costs 1,890 SEK and requires verified medical indication plus a dedicated safety assessment. Product, dose and treatment time are confirmed after the physician has reviewed relevant results.
