MediBalans offers physician-assessed IV and IM options including Myers Cocktail, glutathione, vitamin C, B12, B-vitamin complex, magnesium, vitamin D3 and iron infusion. When selected after individual medical assessment, the current vitamin D3 route is intramuscular (IM), not intravenous (IV).

Availability does not mean suitability. When treatment is appropriate, prescription, preparation, route and follow-up are documented. When it is not appropriate, the physician recommends another next step.

Clinical method

IV or IM is a treatment route, not a root-cause investigation

Where a wider investigation is relevant, root cause means the primary driver, or decisive combination of causes, identified by combining medical history, clinical assessment, established medical diagnostics and carefully selected functional laboratory tests. In our clinical work, we identify the primary root cause — or the decisive combination of causes — in almost every case. No single test, finding or administration route determines the whole explanation.

The IV or IM decision is separate: it depends on indication, substance, dose, route, medicines, contraindications, alternatives and what can reasonably be followed up. Administration does not establish why a symptom exists. Treatment response is individual and monitored clinically.

  1. Clarify the purpose. Review why treatment is being considered and what has already been tried.
  2. Assess safety. Review medicines, sensitivities, previous reactions, contraindications and relevant results.
  3. Choose or defer. Select substance, dose and route only when indicated, or request further information or another care pathway.
  4. Document and follow up. Record administration and agree what, if anything, should be reviewed afterwards.

Tests are optional tools

Relevant results inform, but do not decide alone

The physician may review existing results or request standard tests when they are needed for indication or safety. A laboratory value is not a ticket to treatment, and no preselected panel is required for every person.

Iron infusion requires a verified medical indication and dedicated safety assessment. Product, dose and treatment time are determined only after relevant results and the cause of iron deficiency have been reviewed.

Can I book IV or IM treatment without a referral?

You can book without a referral, but the physician must assess indication, current medicines, contraindications and any relevant results before treatment. A booking does not guarantee that treatment will be given.

Is IV or IM treatment always better than oral treatment?

No. Route of administration does not determine the best option on its own. The physician considers the substance, dose, route, risks, alternatives and the individual clinical question.

Does a test result guarantee that treatment is suitable?

No. Relevant results may inform the decision, but the physician also reviews history, medicines, previous reactions, contraindications and alternatives. Treatment may be postponed or another next step recommended.

Is a direct Genova test part of IV or IM care?
