What It Measures

Three clinical measurement domains

Domain 01 · Energy

Mitochondrial Function

The citric acid cycle and ATP production are measured via organic acids including citrate, succinate, fumarate and malate. Deviations identify specific bottlenecks in mitochondrial energy production and carnitine transport.

Domain 02 · Detoxification

Toxic Exposure

The panel reports selected compounds sometimes grouped under detoxification or exposure-related categories. A urine result does not quantify total body burden or prove an effect on cognition, sleep or mental health.

Domain 03 · Methylation

Methylation Status

FIGLU, methylmalonic acid and xanthurenic acid measure methylation and B-vitamin status in functional context. Reveals methylation impairment invisible in standard tests.

Organix® explained

Organix measures organic acids in urine — metabolic end-products that reveal how efficiently cells produce energy. The test covers the citric acid cycle and mitochondrial function, methylation (FIGLU, methylmalonic acid), neurotransmitter metabolism, gut microbial activity and toxic burden. It provides a functional picture of cellular metabolism invisible in standard blood tests.

Standard tests measure serum and plasma levels — what circulates in the blood. Organix measures metabolic end-products in urine — what cells actually do with the nutrients they receive. Functional B12 deficiency is invisible in serum B12 but produces elevated methylmalonic acid in Organix. Mitochondrial dysfunction is invisible in standard biochemistry but produces specific organic acid profiles in Organix.
